ASUS Eee series stands easy, excellent and exciting. Their latest tablet the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is just that! It is one of the most hyped tablets out. With Android Honeycomb 3.x, a 10-inch display with a 1280 x 800 resolution powered by a Tegra 2 processor. Rarely seen in slates is a mini-HDMI out and a micro-SD card slot, which the Transformer both features. With the mico-SD slot you can easily double your internal 16GB or 32GB memory for additional music, photos, videos and more. The battery lasts about 8 hours. The device still is only available as Wifi only model in the US. A 3G model of the Transformer has been announced and was even sighted a while a back on an italian site.)
To get even more out of your tablet you can get the optional ASUS Tranformer Keyboard Dock or Dockingstation. The Keyboard features another regular sized SD card slot, two full USB 2.0 ports, a bunch of shortcut button instead of F1-12 buttons, instead of windows-button between alt and control turns into Home button or Esc-button to a back button which are optimized to give you a nice Honeycomb user experience. The Keyboard Dock or Dockingstation also gives your tablet 8 hours more battery-life adding it up to 16 hours by charging it just once. What made the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer kind of special is first of all it’s relatively low price, which is still hard to compete with. The mentioned micro-SD card slot which can easily double your built in memory. And last but not least the Keyboard dock or dockingstation, wich converts the tablet into a netbook-tablet-hybrid. We finally got the tablet and the keyboard here for an unboxing and very quick size comparison with the ipad2.
