Okay, so as you already know the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is awesome, check out our unboxing of the hottest Android tablet currently on shelves. It’s also in a class alone being one of the few to receive the Android 3.2 update. Thanks to Twitter we got the news and now its time to bring your ASUS into the present, even though the future would sound a lot better.

This update does many things it also allows for zoom compatibility for fixed-sized apps on larger devices, media syncing from the SD card, that allows users to load media files straight from the SD card to the applications that rely on them, then the files becomes accessible from the system media store.

Here are the upsides to the 3.2 upgrade, not a big difference from the stock Honeycomb Android 3.0 but there are some nice advancements:

  • Optimizations: Android 3.2 includes a variety of optimizations across the board to guarantee a great user experience. We will test this to see i it lives up to the hype.
  • Compatibility zoom for fixed-sized apps: Android 3.2 introduces a new compatibility zoom mode that gives users a new way to view fixed-sized apps on larger devices. The new mode gives you a pixel-scaled alternative to the standard UI stretching for apps that are not designed to run on larger screen sizes, such as on tablets. The new mode is accessible to users from a menu icon in the system bar, for apps that need compatibility support.
  • Media sync from SD card: On devices that support an SD card, now load all media files you want directly from the SD card to the applications. The system does everything for you, it makes the files accessible to apps from the system media store.

Be sure to check out a video to come, the Android 3.2 update in a video starring the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer.
