At the CES, Toshiba has unveiled three new tablet prototypes – a 5.1-inch, a 7.7-inch and a 13.3 inch. Among the three tablet prototypes, two of them – the 7.7-inch tablet and 13.3 inch – are familiar-looking. But what caught our attention was the lightness and thinness of both tablets. They also had these rounded corners and textures in the back which I think is pretty impressive. But what’s more exciting is the 5.1-inch tablet prototype that has a 21:9 aspect ratio. I’ve got to say this tablet is one-of-a-kind. In spite of its size, the tablet will still be able to fit inside your pocket – thanks to its lengthened aspect ratio. And unlike the previous two prototypes, this tablet has an aluminum back with sharper edges.
Unfortunately, Toshiba hasn’t really confirmed if they will be launching all three prototypes this year. The mere fact that they’ve displayed these at the CES certainly means they have plans of using it but no infos when that will be were mentioned.
