ZTE isn’t just going to walk away empty handed this year. Unknown to many, the Chinese telecommunication equipment company ZTE, formerly known as Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Corporation, was also developing its own flagship tablet for 2012. While Asus and Huawei were busy parading their own tablets at the CES 2012, ZTE also amused the attending tech enthusiasts with its very own 7-inch tablet that happens to run using Ice Cream Sandwich as well. But what’s even more surprising is the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor used in the device. It has a 1280 x 800 display resolution and it features a rubberized grip backing and rounded edges. Unfortunately, ZTE said that a release in the U.S. is still vague, although not impossible.
