Uh oh,  ASUS Transformer Prime Pushed Back! Waiting for technology can be a tiring exercise, like the night before Christmas morning anticipation can be a lot to deal with. Well it looks like all of those consumers waiting for the next version of the ‘Triple E’ tablet from ASUS, the ASUS Transformer Prime have to wait a little longer. Reports from different outlets have the release of the tablet getting pushed back later and later. According to the GameStop inventory the first quad core slate will possibly be the 19th of December. Initially the date was the end of November, then to the 9th, and now it looks like the release will be ten days later. If the date is pushed back any further Santa will have a hard  time getting it to you before Christmas. Why the delay? The T-prime is scheduled to be shipped with Android Honeycomb, with an update to Ice Cream Sandwich avaliable early 2012, but the delay could mean it’ll ship with Ice Cream, hopefully.

The ASUS Transformer Prime is the first quad-core tegra 3 processor with 1GB RAM and 32 or 64GB of storage. The next generation ASUS is thinner, has a 8 MP outward camera. Gamers will love the noticeable difference playing games optimized for tegra 3 (check out the video below). USB host support has also been added to the ASUS Transformer Prime, so you can use joysticks while its connected to a big screen.

Cost of this hardware; $500.00. Currently it looks like a lot of pre-orders are sold out at Amazon. Last time I checked out Amazon you must sign up to be notified when it will be available.

But it looks like you can still pre-order from BestBuy just click below:
