One thing that separates other tablets from Sony manufactured tablets is the PlayStation Suite. Well that difference looks to be a thing of the past. The PlayStation Suite is headed for the Android family. Sony in the past only added the video game option to tablets bearing the Sony name such as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P. Recently in an interview at the AsiaD conference, Sony Computer Entertainment Chairman Kaz Hirai confirmed that the company was working on having the platform available on other non-Sony devices. He went on to say the PlayStation Suite “isn’t an ecosystem where we want to keep everything within the Sony family.” This is great news for gamers who aren’t so keen on the idea of a Sony tablet, likewise for Sony, now the company has a unique product they could one day see on all Android run devices.
Unfortunately at present there aren’t any specific details of when, but Sony added we’ll all hear about it once something becomes official. As for now Sony made tablets are the only tablets that offer the PlayStation experience. We gave you The Best Sony Tablet S Accessories, and you can pick up both versions of the tablet from Amazon:
