Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet: 100,000 Sold On First Day

Not off to bad start, Amazon’s Kindle Fire sells 100,000 units!! Okay 100,000 might be rounding up, the figure is closer to 95,000. It’s important to put this into perspective, normally we see those numbers associated with the iPad, but an Android tablet? Selling this amount in one day is more than likely a record for Android tablets. We’ve profiled not only the Kindle Fire but the entire Kindle line on an earlier post. Selling the Kindle Fire at such a low cost is believed to put some pressure on other tablet makers, pressure to lower the cost of their hardware. With the holiday season approaching along with reviews hitting the internet once in the consumer’s hands might mean ‘move-over’ iPad. If your average consumer can do all they want and need to do with a tablet at a fraction of the ‘bigger’ brand cost, then why not?
