We may be seeing the end of BlackBerry PlayBook WiFi version and ringing in a new era with either the 4G model or the PlayBook 2.0 launch. With possibly the end of the BlackBerry PlayBook WiFi version coming we are seeing deep discounts on this model. You might consider stopping in at BestBuy and Staples. There are BlackBerry PlayBook deals for the WiFi version at both retailers, check out the current sales at BestBuy. From now until September 5 BestBuy is selling the 16GB model for $449 and the 32GB model or 64GB model for $549.
Word on the net is it that Staples is distributing emails through internal sales reps offering the PlayBook at an amazing discount of 50% on September 7 and 8. That will drop the price of the 16GB version to $249, the 32GB version to $299, and 64GB for $349. You can try contacting Staples if you have an account with them to try to find out more on this offer. Though one thing is know. Staples is currently offering a $100 rebate across the US on all versions of the BlackBerry PlayBook.
