Finally it’s official, the Amazon Kindle Fire has arrived and its priced to sell. It will cost $199 which beats every product on the market even Barnes & Noble NOOK Color.
As early photos had shown, the Amazon Kindle Fire highly resembles the BlackBerry PlayBook. The 7-inch device will run a version of the 3.1 version of Android. It will ship to your home on November 15 and will be 14.6 ounces with a 7-inch IPS display at 1024X600. Not to mention that it comes with Gorilla Glass and a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, though it only comes in WiFi. Other features are Whispersyn, Amazon Silk browser, and 8GB of storage.
Chief Executive Officer at Amazon Jeff Bezos is betting on the fact that Amazon’s strong position in e-commerce can pose a threat to Apple’s iPad, despite that others have fallen short. Amazon is betting on the fact that sales of Amazon’s electric books, movies, and music can make up for narrower profit margins due to the low price.
