Cyanogen Mod team has been hard at work. They sent a letter to RootzWiki announcing their work on a build of CyanogenMod7 for public consumption. Currently it is running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. Their aim is to create a multi-boot function that will enable users to boot into CyanogenMod7, webOS, and other operating systems simultaneously.
Below, I have for your viewing pleasure a copy of a video of CyanogenMod 7. So far it is its early stages and does not have any touch capabilities. Currently CyanogenMod team is trying to get their hands on some more TouchPad units since it is even difficult to get them on the black market right now.
The CyanogenMod team has made it clear that while they want to get their hands on some extra TouchPads, they are working on a set schedule. They are not going to match the $1500 USD bounty that was being offered recently to get Android working on the TouchPad.
