The reason that sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 were banned was due to an Apple lawsuit alleging patent infringement. Now the ban on Samsung in Europe was lifted by a regional court in Düsseldorf, Germany. This is lucky for many Europeans since they will no longer need to take a long journey to the Netherlands to get this great Tab. Well that is until August 25th when the verdict will be handed down. Amazon Germany sais they will ship in middle of September. BUT we have the following exclusive pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch in Germany here at Media Markt (Electronics Retailer) in Frankfurt from the past weekend. If you were quick enough to get your hands on it that day for €469 (about $677). Relative cheap compared to the recommended retail price which is €660!! that would be unbelievable $953 compared to US buyers who can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 almost 50% cheaper from Amazon where it’s starting for only $499.

Let’s see if German court can make buyers bring their devices back 😉

We will have to wait and see whether a German court has the power to stop sales of a South Korean company’s device outside of its own borders. For now Samsung is selling their tablet in Germany with a contract starting at €1 with Vodafone and O2 (Telefonica).

Even if they would ban this tab in Europe you know meanwhile there are enough to choose from….

So the US price is actually a pretty good deal for it’s $499 compared to the European price which is almost double.
