Sprint has begun taking pre-orders for their upcoming HTC WiMAX enabled tablet named HTC EVO View 4G, first seen at CTIA 2011 earlier this year. Much like its pre-order for the HTC EVO 3D, Sprint requires you to go into one of its retail stores in order to get your name on the pre-order list. And if you think it’s free to put your name on a list, think again – because t’s not! In fact, you’re going to have to throw down $50 for a gift card in order to make it happen.

On top of that, similar to the launch of the EVO 3D, you’re going to have to pre-order the EVO View 4G tablet without knowing the actual price when it arrives. But it it should probably be priced a bit higher than the Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer for $499, which just went on sale at Best Buy and is shipping now.

We do know, that it will be coming with the digital pen bundled in as Best Buy has been confirmed, to be the only place that is going to sell the tablet without it bundled in.

The EVO View 4G Tablet is just like the Flyer going to arrive with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, we can expect an update that will hopefully be provided shortly after launch, because Sprint and HTC are committed to get Android 3.0 Honeycomb on the tablet.

So, if you’ve been waiting to get your hand on a 7-inch, 4G enabled tablet, you now have the ability to do so. Just remember, the device has no release date so it could take a awhile before you can hold it in your hands.
