Coby MID-1125 Tablet US Version: No 3G! But $300 cheaper!

As we reported, back in august we visited IFA in Berlin, Germany for you guys. We stopped at the Coby booth to see their new inventory. At the time, the MID 1125 running Android 2.3 seemed to be their flagship and we decided to have a chat with Hans-Joachim Gruneck, General Manager from Coby Electronics GmbH, Germany. (See video below.)

Now not even 2 month later, we’re seeing the MID 1125 is being sold in two different versions, as the european or german version comes with 3G, does the US version only have wifi support.

So sorry but no 3G in the US for the MID 1125. US buyers might be unhappy about the missing 3G, but so are European buyers probably unhappy about the price. While in the US, the MID-1125 (wifi only) is being sold for relatively cheap $200, has the MID-1125 3G version at Amazon Germany a €379 price tag, which is about $520! On top of that it will not ship before 2-3 weeks. US Buyers can have theirs today! 🙂

In the video below you also see Mr. Gruneck confirming that the MID-1125 will have 3G on board. But at the time the video was shot, (back in august) it was unclear where the tablet will be actually available. I guess we will see more MID-1125 popping up elsewhere. if you interested in getting one, make sure you get the one you want, whether with or without 3g.
