Well that was quick, the first unveiled Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet is the ASUS Transformer Prime… The man on stage, Jonney Shih, introduced at All Things D Conference in Hong Kong the new ASUS Transformer Prime aka Transformer 2. The new tablet will be powered by the newest Nvidia Tegra 3 Kal-El processor. The slate is with 8.33 mm very thin! But more features stand out… unlike other tablet manufacturers, like Samsung with their Galaxy Tab series or Apple with it’s iPad, will Asus stick with their integrated mini HDMI port, some USB ports, and a full size SD card reader, which can be very helpful at times. It seems that their feedback of the first gen Transformers, made ASUS recognize that those connectivity ports are highly appreciated by the consumers. In edition to the Asus Transformer Prime, ASUS CEO commented on the release of the ASUS Padfone, which is a Hybrid Android device. But not enough, ASUS just officially confirmed an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Generation 1 of the Transformer.
