At Build 2011 we learned about all that will be offered on Windows 8 by Steven Sinofsky. One great feature will be the ability of Windows 8 devices with an NFC chip to send content from one device to another via a tap-to-share feature. Quite cool in my book.
Additionally, all Windows 7 applications will be able to run natively on Windows 8. Users should be happy to see that security features will no longer take up so much space. Now they have been reduced to the lower right hand corner of the log-in screen. Now your Windows Task Manager will suspend apps when they are not running which will go along with the reset and refresh PC options that make it easier to wipe and restore your system.
Now when using multi-monitor support you will be able to use a single background on all screens and have access to monitor-specific task bars. Plus Windows 8 comes with multi-touch support that is enabled for Internet Explorer 10. Other Windows 8 features include magnifier functions for desktops, optional thumb-by thumb input mode, SkyDrive storage support as part of all cloud based apps, and the ability to sync all of your devices using Windows 8 together.
