Rumors are always nice, as far as rumors coming true in the future well only time will tell. Apple has had many rumors in the past about their products i.e. the iPad 3 and iPhone 5. The latest Apple rumor is about an upgraded operating system, iOS 5. Apple is possibly releasing iOS 5 next week, code named ‘The golden master’ which is used when a system is ready to go public. iOS has a number of new features such as the all-new Notification Center, iMessage application, and a new PC-free design that allows over-the-air syncing through iCloud and wireless software updates. All of this according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who added Apple is working on additional confidential advances, including advanced voice recognition and commands, allegedly. If this is the case, the next logical question is when will I get my hands on Apples latest software. Despite having the golden master version ready the last week of September, consumers will have to wait until the software is installed into the new devices, then those devices need to be shipped. Adding the projected shipping time of 10 to 12 days puts iOS 5 right in line with the release of the new iPhone 5 and iPod.

Of course word is mum with Apple, no official announcements have been made to date other than the promise that iOS 5 will become available to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users this fall.
