Everyone has a Facebook page these days, we have one here at Tablet-Net.News (be sure to add us). Having nearly the enitire developed world using your product guarantees one thing for sure, money. Here is where the rumor comes in, Facebook buying WebOS. Facebook has been expanding their product for some time now with an enhanced application on all platforms, such as Android and iOS. With Facebook reportedly showing interest in buying their own mobile OS and HP leaving WebOS out to dry, the match not only makes sense, but seems like one made in heaven. So what happens if Facebook makes the move towards WebOS, being the most viable canidate to do so? It’ll give consumers another option besides iOS and Android. Jeffries analyst Peter Misek suggests that Facebook is the likely buyer over Sony Ericsson, ZTE, or Huawei also leaving Windows out of the race. Facebook is a major player who has yet to invest towards developing a mobile OS, buying one would be a lot easier.
We.ve talked about the possiblity of HTC buying WebOS, but in today’s fast changing business environment stranger things have happened. Facebook has wanted to heavily influence a mobile OS and now it looks like they have theri chance to buy one.
