Having an ASUS product in the Transformer has been ‘Easy, Excellent, and Exciting’ if you didn’t know those are the three E’s. Sliding in next from ASUS is the Eee Pad Slider. The slider has already seen some playing time on TNN. When we heard about the USB host support we told you about it, when it was priced at €479.00 in Portugal you knew about it. Well the preview of the ASUS Eee Pad Slider may be over in September, finally launching into the hands of many eager impatient consumers. Clearing the FCC means basically they have the ‘green light’. As far as the specs, its the only and that was quickly followed with a lengthy video review showing just how impressive the actual design is. It slides extremely smooth and I really like the idea here. According to Notebook Italia we will be seeing this QWERTY’d up tablet this September, and they’ve also laid out some full specs. The Toshiba Thrive being first, the Asus Eee Pad Slider will be second to use Honeycomb’s USB host functionality with it’s built in full-sized USB port, which is an amazing plus giving easier access to transfer info.

There is another nice rumor floating around claiming ASUS will be throwing in 1 year of free “Unlimited ASUS Web Storage” from the cloud for free with buying the ASUS Slider. The ASUS Eee Pad Slider will come with a 10.1-inch IPS 1280 x 800 capacitive touchscreen, powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core chip, 1GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB’s of built-in storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, mini HDMI and USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3MP front and a 5MP rear camera, stereo speakers and Google Android 3.1 Honeycomb, 3.2 if we’re lucky. Here is a lengthy hands-on unboxing to have a closer look at the ASUS Eee Pad Slider:
