A new update is available for Acer’s Iconia Tab A500 that will bring it from Android Honeycomb 3.0 to 3.2. It is Acer’s first Honeycomb tablet followed by the Acer’s 7 inch Iconia Tab A100, everyone is excited about it long awaited update which tabs like the Motorola Xoom, Asus Transformer and other already received. The Acer Iconia Tab A501 (4G & wifi) will skip Honeycomb 3.1 and should ship with 3.2 on board. You can preorder the device from Amazon. This Acer update is believed to sync information from the SD card and will improve the performance of the tablet. More specifically the update to 3.2 will provide the ability to upgrade the smaller apps developed for smartphones to full sized ones compatible with your tablet. The method used for app zooming consist of scaling the pixels.
The Acer Iconia A500 Android 3.2 Update is beginning to roll out OTA (Over the Air) right now. This tablet comes with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage with a 10.1 inch screen It will come with both a front and rear camera. The front one will be 2MP and the rear one 5MP. The A501 also features a SIM card slot for 4G connectivity
