The Mediapad from Huawei will be the first 7-inch Honeycomb Android 3.2 tablet. Huawei introduced the slate couple weeks back in Singapore. It’s the first 7-inch tablet we’ve seen in quite some time presenting some amazing specifications. The 7-inch tablet is covert in a shell 10.5mm thick, there’s a 217 pixels-per-inch IPS capacitive touchpanel, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 802.11n WiFi, GPS, battery will run about 6 hours. The Mediepad’s processor is a dual-core 1.2GHz chip from Qualcomm. So we hope to see it in the United States by Q3 2011.

It weighs in at 390g (0.86 pounds), supports full 1080p playback, includes HSPA+ (14.4Mbps) 3G support, offers 8GB of internal storage and in addition you will have a microSD card for some extra storage. The Mediapad will come with some pre installed apps like Twitter and Facebook, the game Let’s Golf and Documents To Go. The device also has a  built-in Bluetooth module and an HDMI output for catching those HD pictures on any HD TV. Also the Flash 10.3 player is pre-installed and ensures that you have the “real” web in your hand.

Huawei could not end price speculation as no details about the prices were released. Huawei only stated the price is “sorted with retail partners and providers”. Weird is that the company has no plans to produce a wifi only model.
