Renault Concept Car Integrates BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet(Video)

Renault is promoting it’s new concept car “Frendzy”. In the new video commercial you can see a very interesting approach of the automobile industry into the tablet world. The concept car is the first automobile to have a tablet dock in the cockpit built in. Renault seem built in the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or at least provide the space for it in their upcoming car. You can plug the PlayBoook into the dashboard and allows you to access its features.

Renaults’ Frendzy will be introduced at the 64th IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) auto show in Frankfurt, Germany. It is Possible that we’ll see a revamped PlayBook. It is expected that the tablet can control some of the car’s features and provide the driver and passengers with navigation details and information we’re used to access through the board computer. The Renault Frendzy sensors communicate through RFID signals to communicate with the Blackberry PlayBook. This way not only information about the destination distance is retrievable also package dimension (weight) inside the car and much more is only a tab away. Also obvious would be to control some of the PlayBook features from steering wheel buttons like we control today volume and etc.

Of course it also can show videos, movies, can play music and browse the web. We’re hopin that Frendzy, the electric concept car from Renault will make it’s way from prototype to production….
