First Motorola launched the Atrix lapdock, a docking station that you can use with the Atrix 4G Motorola smart phone which basically turns your phone into a laptop. Second ASUS launched the PadFone, a phone that slides into the back of a tablet, check out the video from our earlier post. And now its China’s turn with the TransPhone, names aren’t as creative as they used to be. Regardless of the lack of creativity in the name, techies from China Union Branch (CMIT) have released pics of the TransPhone, their phone and tablet combo. Check out the pics:

The tablet side has a fairly large screen and extra battery life for it’s ‘brain’ or smartphone. You can chat it up easily with the Bluetooth headset, connect what you’d like via USB and HDMI. Last but not least the engine running it all…Android 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual-core chip, speed won’t be an issue whenever this peice of hardware hits the streets. Price and possible release date is unknown for the time being but we WILL get to the bottom of this and be back with more info on the TranPhone.
