Here we go again, more rumors in the air regarding tablets. Amazon the #1 online retailer is one step closer to taking their shot as the tablet of choice. Last month BGR broke the news of the names ‘Coyote’ and ‘Hollywood’ two tablets heading our way via Amazon. The ‘Coyote’ is likely to be based on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform, the ‘Hollywood’ NVIDIA T30 ‘Kal-El’. The Amazon Hollywood name is straight forward, Barron’s has reported it will have access to a streaming movie service, which will be free for the first batch of tablet owners Amazon already has a wide movie selection and bringing out tablets intended to stream videos means only one thing, the iPad is in Amazon’s cross hairs. Amazon offers 3G on the kindle and the Amazon MP3 digital music store ships as a standard package with a number of Android tablets on the market. The missing link had been the video download and streaming marketplace…until now. At the moment the release date is said to be in the ‘near future’, which is a relative. We will have more details on the Amazon Hollywood tablet and the Coyote tablet before you know it, stay tuned.
