Are you sick of  being tracked online? Tired of the invisible knowing what your doing? Firefox beta for Android now features the option to turn on the “Do Not Track” privacy feature! Firefox is the first mobile browser to offer this type of privacy feature.

If you are looking for more control over of your browsing experience this is the perfect option for you! Firefox will “tell” websites and advertising networks that you want to opt-out of third-party tracking. This is useful because companies track your behavioral in order to deliver behavioral advertising.

Firefox beta AndroidHow this happens is the browser implements an HTTP header that makes it possible for users to choose not to be tracked by advertising networks. All you have to do is check in your preference settings and turn off the box that says: “Tell sites not to track me”. If you use the online browser this has been available since February, but is only available on Android now.

Voices get louder asking for the  ‘Do No Track’ technology to be added to mobile browsers, as more consumers use their smartphone’s browser to surf the web. If you’re a fan of a different browser you can probably expect to have this feature available in the near future.
