BlackBerry PlayBook UK release: June 16th; starting at £399

Brits looking foward to taste the first 7-inch BlackBerry tablet. UK retailers have today revealed the date and prices at which they’ll be selling RIM’s PlayBook: depending on how much integrated storage you want, you’ll have to pay up £399 (16GB), £479 (32GB), or £559 (64GB) for your slate, starting from June 16th. Regardless of the size of storage you choose the PlayBook comes with a dual-core 1,000 MHz TI OMAP4430 processor powering the Blackberry’s PlayBook. Availability will be widespread, with Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4u, Insight, Best Buy UK and Amazon.co.uk having already PlayBook promotional or pre-order sites up. Insight for example, is taking pre-orders now.
